Love 4 Dogs is a family-owned business based on honesty, integrity, and love for our canine friends. We strive to provide the best care possible, with the utmost professionalism, because we know that our pets are precious parts of the family.
We are located in Palm Desert and we offer services to the surrounding cities including; Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, La Quinta and all the cities in between. The services provided are Dog Walking, Dog Sitting, and Dog Grooming.
How it all began…
Love 4 dogs founder, Roxana Abril was born and raised in Guatemala, where the number of stray dogs is alarming and devastating. She started feeding stray dogs on the streets of Guatemala City, providing them with food and water for as many as she could. One of the first acts of compassion was when she took care of a neighbor’s dog, which was thrown on the street by the owner when she was old and sick. And that’s when she knew there was a lot more to do for them.
When she moved to the U.S. she started fostering dogs and ended up keeping them because who wouldn’t fall in love with such amazing creatures? Started working with dogs as a groomer in 2008 and continued working as Supervisor, Assistant Manager and General Manager of grooming, doggie daycare and dog boarding facilities, which gave her a good 10 years of experience handling dogs and learning about their health care, behavior and all the different breed unique characteristics.
Her dream is that one day, every dog has a warm, cozy bed, a meal, a toy to play with and a hug from a loving and responsible owner that will take care of them until their last breath. Every dog deserves this; they are smart, loving, loyal companions that deserve kindness, respect and love.
